This hat is knit up using a worsted weight yarn. This hat has some basic cabling in the pattern, perfect for knitters new to cables or for experienced cable knitters looking for a quick easy hat! This pattern will describe some basic cabling techniques used, but a basic knowledge of the knit stitch, purl stitch, long tail cast on, and types of decreasing techniques are required.
Tools and Materials:
US 6 and 8 24” circular needles
US 8 DPN
100-120 g worsted weight yarn, depending upon length of brim. I used Lamb’s Pride in the grey and Berrocco Mercado in the tan/cream, one skein each.
